Certifications and Memberships
Edna Thompsen earned the Certified Financial Planner(CFP®) designation in 1990. She is a member of the Houston Estate, Financial Forum (HEFF), and the Better Business Bureau (BBB). Edna has also earned the Certified Senior Advisor (CSA) designation, Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®) and the Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (CDFA™).
In the Community
Active in the community, she currently serves on the Board of the Better Business Bureau. She has served as Chairman of the Education committee for the CyFair Chamber of Commerce working closely with CyFair ISD, and as a volunteer mediator for the Dispute Resolution Center in Montgomery County.
Edna has taught classes on various financial topics at local colleges and has been a featured speaker to organizations such as Rice University and JPMorgan Chase. She has also contributed various financial articles to local publications.
In addition to writing and publishing her own newsletter as a service to her clients, she is a co-author of The Unspoken Issues of Finance, a book focusing on the physical and emotional side of finances.
